Dr. Carl Herbster has a varied background that helps him better understand the people and issues of our day.   After college, where he studied Math Education, Dr. Herbster entered the business world and was employed as a sales representative and later as a manager for a worldwide company. It was during his professional years that Dr. Herbster was convicted of his need to invest his life in something eternal. He left the business world and went to seminary to study for the ministry.  God used him as the Senior Pastor of a large church from 1983-2012.  Today Dr. Herbster does all he can to protect the values and rights of the people, families, churches, and other organizations in our country who stand for righteousness as he leads the Center to Advance the USA (AdvanceUSA).

General Information

What do I bring?
The dress for the weekend is casual. Please do not bring any alcohol or tobacco products. In addition to this, you may want to bring the following: a Bible, notebook, pen, pillowcase, sheets/blankets or sleeping bag and towels. You may also want to bring extra money for the bookstore and snack shack.

Accommodations
Accommodations are reserved on a first received registration basis. Please call if you need specific information on availability. There is a $30 non-refundable reservation fee due per person. Linens are only provided in apartment accommodations.

Ages
Although the retreat is geared toward adult men, we encourage men to bring their teenage sons with them for the men's retreat.  Make it a father son weekend that will help you make great memories together!

Accommodations

Please call if you need specific information on availability.  Accommodations are reserved on a first-received registration basis.  All beds will be filled in each room.  Sorry, but we are unable to fulfill requests to be housed by yourself.

Hall Bath:
Comfortable, dormitory-style housing located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the main Inn building.  Rooms accommodate 2-4 people with bathrooms located in the middle of the hall.

Private Bath:
Hotel-style lodging on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Inn.  Rooms accommodate 2 people.  Bathrooms are located in your room.

Family Cabin (Taggart Hall):
Newly renovated, comfortable room with three bunk beds, full bed, and private bathroom in a climate-controlled building.  Rooms accommodate up to 7 people.

Cottage:
Comfortable rooms, with bathrooms located in your room.  These rooms are located at ground level for those with difficulty climbing stairs.  These rooms accommodate 2 people.

Apartment:
One-bedroom apartments with separate living room, kitchen, bedroom, and private bath.  Rooms accommodate up to 5 people.
